I'm clearing out some of my unused audio equipment. Up for sale is my Rupert Neve headphone amp (RNHP). I purchased this new in April 2019 from Perfect Circuit for US$450 for use in my gaming setup. I boxed it up less than 6 months later in anticipation of a move and it's been unused since then. Overall, it probably has less than 100 hours of use.
It's in excellent condition with no cosmetic issues that I could see. It has 3 inputs: XLR balanced, RCA single-ended, and 3.5mm, with a single 1/4" headphone jack for output. I tested the single-ended input and it sounded great, with a black background and plenty of punch through my Focal Utopias. I did not test the balanced or 3.5mm inputs.
If you haven't tried this amp before, there are two things to note:
1. The front LEDs which indicate the input you're using are eye-searingly bright. Some have suggested putting a small Lego circle over them to block the light.
2. The RNHP has no muting circuit. What this means in practice is that you should make sure to turn it on BEFORE plugging in your headphones, and you should unplug your headphones BEFORE turning it off. If your headphones are plugged in when it is turned on or off, you will hear a loud click, even if the volume is set to zero.
The package includes the amp, 24V wall-wart adapter with a variety of plugs, the original box, and all documentation that came with it.
