I'm selling this great portable tube amplifier from Fostex : HP-V1

It is in great condition, complete in the original packaging.

It sounds really great , features a double line in (front and back), a gain switch and a battery pack inside the amp

It is now a very rare amplifier
Selling because I simply don't use it anymore

Smoke free and pet free environment.
Only use as a desktop amplifier

I originally found out about this amp from Jude. It was a meet in NY and he asked if I could set it up on my table along with a new phone he wanted to get seen and heard.

I got to like the amp right away and bought one. I think I remember retail was $595 for the amp. I got mine second hand for $500. Still have it and use it. Matches with many of my phones, excellent air and bass detail.

Now, someone Best Buy it soon or I will feel hurt.

I bought it, it arrived today and I'm VERY. HAPPY. Omg!

Only tested it with my little AP80 and Sony IER-Z1, but that is already blowing me away. Can't wait to unleash my Empyrean and Clear Mg on it. Very grateful to cocolinho for the pristine condition of the unit and all accessories and packaging. It's a very serious Japanese product, everything exudes 80s-style solid quality. There's ZERO noise on my Sony IERs. Every aspect of the sound - lows, mids, treble, detail, soundstage, impact,.. - are all discreetly but noticeably improved. There's minimal coloring, perhaps slightly to a warmer note, but that's exactly how I like it. It's like a perfect seasoning on a great dish. 1 smidge too much or too little..and it may be ruined. But now it's just perfect.
