This is my second time around with the SR1a, and while I enjoyed it more this time with my upgraded system, it still wasn't the most practical for me with the open baffle design. I ended up testing it with the TI-1c interface as well and the Mitch filters, which were a great improvement. I actually had no major qualms about the bass, certainly not massive quantities of bass, but the quality was excellent and enjoyable.

Comes with flight case, speaker interface (not the TI interface for XLR output). Stock cables never used. You will need a speaker amp with speaker outs to use this. Alternatives are the TI interface for use with regular headphone amps with an XLR out, or something like the Schiit Jot R. I had the Jot R when I first owned the SR1a and did not like it at all. I honestly feel like the speaker interface through my fairly cheap Marantz PM6006 (also for sale) sounded more enjoyable.
