Blurb from previous post: Up for sale is a custom build headphone amplifier that runs 6336 high current, dual triode power tube, cascade 12au7, separate chokes and rectifier for each channel. Know as “The Beast” by the original designer, this build adds an upgraded power supply to further channel separation. Especially dual mono from the transformer back to the power tube. Had the ability to driver speakers as well as headphones. Will do 8w into 8ohm. True single ended triode, not triode strapped. 1% resistors in critical paths, and Panasonic coupling caps. This is a very dynamic and powerful amplifier, great detail and clarity. Was a match made in heaven with my lcd4. Also sounded great with various hifiman, Audeze, as well as empyrean. Has dual switchable inputs, motorized volume control with remote as well as 4pin xlr up front and speaker taps in the rear.

Amp comes with the following: 2 "platinum matched" gold lion 12au7, 2 6by5 rectifiers(mismatched brands but both are the same internals), and one Centron 6336B tube. I might have another pair of 12au7 laying around that I can include, but I won't guarantee that. All are matched, balanced, quiet, and NOS + maybe 10 hours of use.

Amp itself: Warm and lush sounding, would go great with some speakers or for a relaxed listening session with headphones. This could change a bit with some 12au7 rolling About 8W into 8ohm. Uses RCA in and has both speaker taps and a 4-pin XLR out for convenience. DO NOT sum these outputs for a single ended headphone, you'll fry the amp. I'd recommend using the headphone out with less efficient planars or dynamics. Previous owner stated he got some hum when using efficient headphones, but I when using my HD800 I was fine.

The amp comes with a remote control, making it perfect for a speaker setup, that will be shipped from a 2nd location(forgot it at a friends house after a meet). The remote allows for volume control and turning the amp on and off. I will explain more of how it works with interested parties.

This is a top shelf piece of equipment, the 6336B tube gets close to 300 degrees, so keep well ventilated and away from pets/children.

PLEASE NOTE: Previous owner smoked and I have a cat. Amp itself does not smell(I'm allergic to cigar/cigarette smoke so I can tell) and I'll thoroughly clean it before sending. The packaging still smells some.
