Still a great DAP. The DP-X1A has improvements over the original DP-X1 and also has dual ESS Sabre ES9018K2M DACs and dual ESS Sabre 9601K amplifiers. Each DAC and amplifier is dedicated to its own stereo channel for the highest possible fidelity and headphone performance. Consequently, the Onkyo is capable of supplying 150mW + 150mW of power and support headphones from 16Ω to 600Ω with balanced connections. There are two headphone jacks, a 3.5mm single ended and a 2.5mm balanced jack. There are slots for two micro SD cards and each slot will support 256 GB of storage, so lots of room for your music.

The DP-X1 supports a multitude of audio formats including 11.2MHz DSD, 384kHz/24-bit PCM, MP3, WAV, FLAC, ALAC, and AIFF, as well as MQA files.

Unlike some players with their own customized Android-based interface that can limit functionality, the DP-X1 is open to whatever you want including third-party music players and apps.

Despite being a few years old, the DP-X1A still holds it's own against much higher priced players. Will still give a few hours of play with internal battery, but this unit will include an auxiliary Anker Ultra Slim 5000mAh External Battery, short right angle USB connector, leather case and original box with manual.
