I have spent the past three years really enjoying this MYTEK as the core of my hifi setup, not my headphone setup.
I am in love with music for years now, and I was really going to not upgrade, since the MYTEK is really something special in its price range. It's versatility is nice, as it can be roon endpoint (streamer), dac, headphone amp, and pre amp.
But, since I have used it as a dac streamer, alongside a roon core server, I can tell what it is : a very potent dac, a really strong roon endpoint. It's neutral, and where it shine is in the depth and horizontal length of the scene in front of you.
yes, it is less crips and strong in finding all the details that my ifi audio iDSD pro signature can do, but this is not a gap that makes me stay away from that moment where you can sit, and really enjoy the music that flow through your loudspeakers.

i'm moving away only because I will try the DIY way, as I love building stuff, this is a path I dare try to take while I still can
