Hi. I bought this from the authorized dealer. I received it on March 1, 2022. It is brand new in original pelican box, original outer packaging, with remote and all original accessories and documents.

Registered for three year warranty with Mola on March 13, 2022.

Phenomenal streamer, DAC, headphone amp. I regret this already. I have gone crazy with high end DACs. Something has to go.

which other high end DACs did you compare it with and can you share your impressions?

I’m quite curios which DAC you decided to keep..:)

Hi. All of them are incredible. At this level, it’s about what you like to hear subjectively as opposed to quality.

Dave and Scaler (sold). A bit too cold for me at times. Outrageously good DAC.

TT2/MScaler. Keeper in my office with Enleum and small speakers. Better balance of detail and lifelike sound.

Lumin P1. Big lush sound. Keeper in my family room w Luxman 509X and Fyne F1-8. Lots of fun. Great features. Versatile.

I’m now on the fence between the Tambaqui and Weiss 501 4channel for my listening room. Truly conflicted. Tambaqui sounds better to me. Very detailed but also easy and lifelike.

Weiss 501. Similar with more features, sound adjustments and a more versatile streamer. A bit colder than Tambaqui but that can be addressed with EQ and filters.

The latter two are my favorites but I can’t keep both.

Super helpful - thanks for sharing.

Your taste seems similar to mine. I also find the Dave a little too cold.

I use the Bricasti M3h (don’t use the built in amp so much as I connect it to outside headphone/power amps, but as a DAC + Roon ready network bridge). It is fantastic, and has so little PR I’m astonished how few people know about it. Check it out, it may hit your taste.

The Tambaqui is high on my short list to test for a second listening point, your input is strongly reinforcing - appreciate it!
