Hey -

Due to the Meze 99 being closed back, they have more bass than the HD600. The HD600 sound wider, with a bit more detail. I think they both have their strengths as it relates to genres. For example, singer/songwriter sounds better on the HD600 than the Meze 99. But, if you want a bit fuller sound for rock, R&B, etc., go for these. Happy to keep discussing!
