For Sale is a Tubemagic D2 Dac by Maverick Audio. This Dac is in stock form using an AD1955 chip and BB OPA2604 opamps. A Raytheon 5670 tube is used. The DAC takes a single 5670/2C51/396a tube, if utilizing the tube stage, or can be run straight solid state.
I am the second owner. Overall great condition, just very slight scuff marks on the top inner lip of the the front faceplate, only really visible from the top view and from behind. See photos.
As a disclaimer, the original owner told me that when using the Coax input, the LED light for this selection would flicker, but I have tested it, and the LED light did not flicker - was solid for me.
Selling because I was interested in tinkering with a tube dac, this one is very opamp rolling capable as well, but do not have the time, and will be collecting dust in the forseeable future otherwise. This is a great dac, even in stock form, and is reminiscent of (and could rival) some of the MHDT dacs sound wise in my opinion, especially with upgraded opamps and tubes.
These originally sold between 200-250 dollars, and the company still sell these units today.
Comes with a powercord. No original packaging but will pack with care.
Price includes (paypal) fees and shipping. Shipping to CONUS only. Thank you for looking.
