I have this Roon-ready streamer available. It works as an excellent digital transport but also has an excellent DAC inside. The overall character of the DAC is very similar to my Sagra R2R but a bit more detailed and smoother in the top end. Upscale Audio has a power supply upgrade available for this unit that is supposed to give extremely good performance for the money.

There are some options out there for fancy USB isolators and cleaners and cables, but that seems like putting makeup on a pig. Probably best to use a proper interface with a streamer.

I accepted this item as a part of trade deal, but don't really need it, as I need toslink to be able to use it with my PC and game consoles. I thought it would be fun to see if I can find differences with sources, it was fun, and I can. Works out of the box with Roon over the network. If you have an iPad you can control your music player without the need of using a PC, or you can move your music PC away from your equipment and send your music over the network.
