I can’t believe I have to do this, but life happened. Up for sale is my almost brand new Lampizator Baltic 4 DAC with new engine 11. Lampizator is well represented WBF and I found it to be the single biggest change to my system. The immersion into the stage is truly mind blowing. There is no way Denefrips or Holo can touch this. (I came from a Pontus 2) I have never heard a Dave, but again, I can’t imagine any SS doing what Lapizator does. I used USB input from my streamer and balanced outputs. The light is blue, and the front panel switch is used to turn USB on and off.
I quickly replaced the original Psvane tubes. The tubes that will come with the DAC is a brand-new Sophia Electric Aqua 2 274B rectifier. It has all the resolution of the mesh with better bottom end. It replaced a SE 274B mesh which was much better than the RCA JAN 5AU4 it replaced (I sold both of those). I found a pair of Sylvania shinny black plate 12BH7s which was better than any of my good 12AU7s. The 12BH7s were not even broke in… they took a good 200 hours. And finally, I scored a pair of true Sylvania Bad Boys for 6SN7. Those were very good, but the Mullard ECC32s pictured are just a hair better. Its not night and day… hard to explain, they are just more refined, pleasing. The Sylvanias are more “rock-n-roll”. The Mullards were literally brand new. They developed slight flashing spots while breaking in. They are really amazing now. Both tubes are quite hard to come by anymore. Every upgrade added better transparency, better timber, better extension and bigger stage. Again, I had no idea that was possible with audio gear.
I purchased right at the beginning of the year and it has been incredible ever since. This DAC was truly end game for me. Sadly, that game is over now. You will receive all original documentation and inner/outer shipping boxes. It retails at $6850 as built. There is another $1500 in tubes. My loss is your gain… $6000. Price includes shipping and PP fees. I accept PP and Venmo. I will accept bank check, but nothing moves until it clears fully.
