Free to a good home: A tube experimentation kit, especially tailored to the Woo Audio WA2, as it includes power tubes, rectifier tubes, and input tubes that work with that amp.
As a token of my appreciation to the awesome Head-Fi community, I'd like to give away some tubes *at the cost of shipping only*. I will need to check shipping costs to your location, but my guess is that ground shipping will be $25-30. Not a lot of weight, but some bulk due to the cushioning and packing materials so they get to you unscathed.
If you try them out and think some are worth money/you enjoy them, you can send me a few dollars via PayPal (Friends & Family, or Venmo) a few bucks and I'll donate them to a charity *with equal matching from my employer*.
Why am I giving these away? (they are worth at least $ 150, I know I paid at least that much over the past year)
- I have some great tubes I like better and these are taking up space
- Some of them have slight noise (nothing excessive, though), and I am super-sensitive about added noise
- I simply don't use them and they are just gathering dust, and someone might enjoy them!
The kit consists of the following tube pairs:
- GE JAN 6080WC power tubes (NOS pair)
- RCA 6AS7G power tubes (NOS pair)
- Sylvania JAN 6080WC power tubes (NOS pair)
- Ei EZ80 rectifier tubes (Yugoslavian, used)
- E88C input tube pair (unknown brand- gold pins)
- 6922 input tube pair (UK-made, gold pins- might be Mullards?)
- 6922 input tube pair- I think these are Mazda stock tubes from an older amp I had?
- RFT 12AT7 input tubes (will need an adapter for the Woo Audio WA2, NOS pair)
- 6N23P-23 Reflektor input tubes (NOS pair, 6922 equivalent)
I can also throw in four socket savers- they are 12AXX pin size, I think.
Please note that as I'm giving these away, I really would like give them to ONE PERSON and not parcel them out. If you can only use one of the pairs, please move on- I'd love for the recipient to get some use of most or all of them.
