Trying to reduce the size of my collection right now, and these are some of my favorite headphones--and rare too. However, I have a Mjolnir 3 amp at the moment that doesn't seem to synergize as well with these ones, and they seem like the ones I need to get rid of. Those creamy mids (some called this the planar rival to the HD 600) can go to someone else who has the right amps for these. Warm but with good detail and sings with a powerful enough amp.

They are in excellent conditoin and include a WireWorld cable upgrade -- their Nano Eclipse headphone cable with OHNO continuous cast very pure copper. The cable cost over $200. Also comes with the original hard case for the HE-500, also in excellent condition. I bought these last year through US Audio Mart from the original owner. Pads and everything are all in very good condition -- I didn't need to change them or make any modifications. They have been gently (and only occasionally) used since then, though like I said my HD 600s and 800s are seeing a lot more use at the moment with the new amp.
