well, after a while I returned to the headphone hobby (and to the headphone modding) with a great pair of fostex TH610.
They are REALLY great sounding headphones, used them without any eq
After I've bought them I was sure I will mod the cups somehow. Decided to make them a fair bit darker, almost black .
I have unmounted the cups and started to play with them. I have sunded-off existing finish (oil?). I used wet sand-paper with 500-2000 grain to make them silky smooth and then decided to use 3 couts of OSMO 3169 black decorative wax. Then I hand-polished them and the final look was really great for me
I have bought a good quality black copper 2,5 mm 1,2m balanced cable with a black leather splitter (150 EUR) for my laptop setup and was completely happy with the sound and look. Of course orginal 6,3mm 3m cable is included as well.
I have a pair of orginal black fostex pads in great shape, black leather ZMF ori pads (worth ~60EUR), and the (best for me) - chinese-made real leather black pads +dekoni rings. They are more comfortable than the stock ones, and don't alter the orginal sound signature I also have a black ZMF pilot pad (bought them with it, but never used, they are comfortable for me as they are).
I can also additionally sell a custom made black-waxed, wood & metal minimalist custom headphone stand (+100 EUR) if the buyer wants it
I have the orginal box & the proof of the purchase (they're out of warranty, but the orginal owner barealy used them and they are in really great
shape).
The reason for sell- well unfortunately I need some funds (got three kids ).
Prefer to sell it all, but if someone wants just the orginal set - please let me know.
Price is rather firm, 550 EUR+ shipping & pp fees.
If someone wants the stand as well i can make it 600 all included.
