This headphone is a work of art. These are Ziricote wood with sapwood highlights. This honestly looks better than many of the stabilized / resin sets I've seen, and certainly more eye candy than the two stabilized sets I've owned. The grilles and rods are plated in 18k gold! Even if you don't like music this headphone is display quality, worthy of a home museum. It sounds amazing and is my favorite ZMF to date (I've owned or listened to most of them). I was fortunate enough to nab them within the first 3 minutes of them dropping on ZMF's site last month. I bought on impulse however, and now that $4k is needed for another expense. I will be buying another set at some point in the future. I also bundled it with a matching Grand Silver Paladium cable in 5.5' length and gold barrels. I haven't had a chance to listen to it and at this point I'm not going to tease myself. It exudes build quality, however.
