Up for sale is my extremely modded bottlehead crack. This crack has just about every popular mod and then some. A lot of love has been put into this amp. It was the project that introduced me to DIY, and spurred interest in building my own DIY projects. I've had loads of fun with this amp over the years, but I have too many and it's time I thin the herd. This truly is a one-of-a-kind crack. It has the following modifications/upgrades:

Internal upgrades:

• Speedball addon from Bottlehead
• PSU choke mod (much lower noise floor from this)
• Last capacitor in power supply upgraded to a film capacitor
• Blue alps volume pot
• Shielded input wiring
• Added octal sockets for 6J5 input tubes. 6C5 and L63 tubes are also compatible.
• Film output capacitors
• Cree schottkey rectifier diodes
• Onboard DAC! This is an internal Khadas tone board. No external DAC is required. Simply plug a USB-C cable directly from the crack into your computer. There is a switch behind the transformer to use the RCA jacks with an external DAC if desired.

Cosmetic upgrades/changes:

• Sanded and stained base
• Painted transformer cover black to avoid rusting
• Aluminum volume pot
• Custom top plate to accommodate all the mods
• Some of the internal parts of the wood base have been shaved away to accommodate the large film caps. It's internal only and is not visible when using the amp.
