For sale is the Denafrips Ares II.
The Ares II is the most natural sounding DAC I’ve owned so far. Standout qualities sonically include its precise imaging, surprisingly musical low-end, and it’s natural timbre. Compared to all the DACs I’ve owned, Ares has the most minimal bloom throughout the FR range. My belief is that this helps give it the most realistic timbre I’ve heard from my stable.
I’m selling because I recently acquired the Gumby, which doesn’t have Ares’ strengths but has strengths in other areas. I have only owned this DAC for a few weeks and am listing for the price I paid for it.
This unit will include the stock power cable.
