Original owner, like new, kept in a smoke-free and pet-free home.

Downsizing some of my gear and selling my Burson Soloist 3XP amplifier and Burson Composer 3XP DAC. I am the original owner and both were purchased from Bloom Audio on July 23, 2021 (will include digital copies of receipts for everything except the Sparkos Op Amps). Both are in excellent condition (see photos) and have not experienced as much use as my portable equipment due to my intense travel schedule over the past year. I never used them stacked on top of each other (only for the listing photo) and they have always been kept on individual shelves (see the photo of my audio rack for reference). Comes with original boxes and accessories.

Includes two Burson 3A Superchargers (one for each unit) that I purchased new. They make a subtle, yet noticeable improvement to the sound quality, particularly on busier tracks during my A/B testing with stock power supplies. Also comes with six additional plug adapters (three per Supercharger) for use with international power outlets.

Comes with an almost new pair of Sparkos SS3602 Dual Op Amps that were purchased brand new from another Head-Fi member last month. The Sparkos were installed in the Volume stage of the Soloist, but have under 10 hours of use since I mainly use the Soloist in "Poweramp Mode" which bypasses the volume control and uses the DAC (Composer) to control the volume. I also added a Dip-8 socket to each Sparkos Op Amp to help the pins seat more securely (recommended on the Soloist thread). The Soloist will ship with V6 Vivid Op Amps installed.

This stack has a small footprint given its capabilities and is one of the best values in this price bracket. The Soloist powers all of my headphones to their full potential, even my harder-to-drive ones when using the balanced output.

I am located in Asheville, NC and could possibly meet in person.

Open to trades for the following, but I may be open to other trades (plus money to make up the difference on either end, if required):

-64 Audio U12t
-Cayin C9
-Cayin N8 or N8ii
-Dragon Inspire IHA-1
-Focal Stellia
-Hifiman Susvara
-Kennerton Closed-backs
-Klipsch HP-3
-Meze Liric
-Rosson RAD-0
-Sony MDR-Z1R
-Woo Audio WA8

Please PM me if you have any specific questions and thanks for looking.

New Head-Fier
I usually listen to the LCD-5 with the Soloist in Power Amp mode from the balanced XLR; it can be powered in Medium gain, but I prefer to run it in High gain since it has more headroom and no hiss is present. The LCD-5 became one of my favorite headphones after using Mitch Barnett's (Accurate Sound) convolution filter bc it corrected the mids in a way that I could not achieve with PEQ alone after a few months of trying. If you search "Mitch Barnett" and "LCD-5" an article describing the filters should be one of the first links to appear (I used Google).

The Burson stack and the LCD-5 with the convolution filter (plus a low bass shelf) are an incredible listen. PM me if you would prefer to discuss in detail and I would be happy to answer follow-on questions.
