For your consideration is a Bottlehead Crack w/Speedball and upgrades. The Amp is in good condition. Works great. I am to the best of my knowledge, the third owner of this amp, acquired here from Head-Fi last month. It's not the prettiest amp, but it's got alot of upgrades in it and I can say definitively that with the right tubes, it could go toe to toe with a kilo buck amp.

I bought this to understand the hype/facts about a crack with the speedball, and everything about this amp and upgrades are true. I am only selling for a matter of preference (e.g., Stock Crack sound). I am hoping someone else can fully appreciate this amp.

Description

From what I understand, this amp was originally from a builder - these are the upgrades in this amp:

Crack + Speedball + Solen output caps + power supply shunt + cree diode rectifier bridge + Alps pot + 4 pin XLR plug (for balanced headphone cables) + shielded case + copper shield between PSU and signal electronics + 1% resistors where possible.

Please note the HP jack here is a 4pin XLR.

So it’s in perfect working condition but looks are not perfect with wood housing. The wood base does have extra holes (where other upgrades were mounted, but then taken off by the original owner due to it not adding anything beneficial to the sound). Also a chip and a blemish as seen in photos.

Choke mounting flange posts broke(plastic) glued it back together (by previous owner, also a builder and confirmed everything is mounted no broken components.)

Front Tube (input) is a 12AU7 socket.
Rear Tube (power) is for a 6AS7/6080 socket.
