Your headphones need be a 100 ohms or higher to use this amp.


So here's the parts installed:
Crack + Speedball + Solen output caps + power supply shunt + cree diode rectifier bridge + Alps pot + 4 pin XLR plug (for balanced headphone cables) + shielded case + copper shield between PSU and signal electronics + 1% resistors where possible.
The XLR headphone can use adapter to use 1/4 " or smaller.

I bought this from Head-fi member who built it. Since owning a Woo WA5 LE I don't have much use for it anymore. It is really good and for some reason it played my Meze Elite with no issues. Headphones I had where ZMF line up which where all amazing on the this Crack. I sometimes will plug the Audeze LCD 3 as it's over 100 ohms and it's fantastic. Last my Sennheiser HD6XX is super good on it.


The builder decided to use a pin headphone out instead of the normal 1/4 inch. Played mainly ZMF cans on it and was very enjoyable especially when rolling different tubes. Power tubes swapping is big difference in sound. I couldn't tell too much from drivers as that would require talent I don't have. Sound rise I was able to go solid state to very tuby sound. Played around with LCD 3 and couldn't hear any off sound. LCD 3 is over 100 ohms. The amp puts out a holographic soundstage so no compression. It's fast not slow. It responds to tube roll with night and day changes.

Amp comes with right angle power cord.

1 RCA 6AS7G
1 Tung Sol 7236
1 kenRad 6SN7 with base

I'm including adapter to use 6SN7 tubes.
