I'm putting up my Ayre Codex dac and headphone amp up for sale that Ive had for about 5 years. I'm the original owner and it was kept in a pet free and smoke free environment. I think it's great value at $1800 retail considering it has very good dac as well as very good headphone amp and honestly think it's underrated considering its dual purpose and small space it can occupy. I'm selling for 1/3 of the price for 8/10 condition with a power cord included. I do have mention rca outputs have some play in them, meaning they both move up and down a bit in tandem if pushed, but naturally they are fully functional. The same can be said for power inlet, that if you have a real snug power cord and try to unplug it, the outside connector moves a tiny bit. Ayre is aware of that, and obviously unless you're professionally reviewing power cords and changing them every few days, it's non issue as well as rca's. I also want to mention that I did experience issue with my left headphone channel going out last year, and Ayre customer service was truly excellent and took care of the issue so some parts internally including the main board are virtually new. I'm covering Paypal fees and shipping, to make the transaction as simple as I can. This is a chance to own great dac/amp combination with a small footprint without worrying about additional power cord or interconnect cables that would be needed for separate units.
