These are just gorgeous… Talk about one-of-a-kind!!
I’d probably take a hard look if I wasn’t buying an LCD-5.

Very cool set.
I can only imagine how annoyed audeze would be to hear these are on the used market. They weren't very happy when they were asked about the lcd x nonfazor I had (said they considered them stolen goods and should be returned to Audeze 🤣 even though they were originally sold by an Audeze employee).
Not sure if these would be classified in the same way, but hope someone gets to try them out :)

Thank you both, yeah it would be pretty low of them to go after something like these though, its a one of a kind thing and they would lose a lifetime fan in the process. and I wouldn't let them go without kicking and screaming! It would also be difficult to prove other than the basic information I was provided about them. And you know they would basically toss them in the trash. The only other real potential issue is what would happen if you needed to get them repaired down the road, although as hawk shows, a buyer would probably just upgrade to LCD 69's by that time

I had a similar unofficial Audeze headphone sold by a former Audeze employee (prob the same one). It was sold to me as a 100 ohm LCD-4, but then when I sold it on Head-Fi, the next buyer for some odd reason sent it into Audeze for examination, and they did a bunch of testing to find it was one of these "more efficient" LCD-3s, basically an early LCD-3 that reportedly was one of the best sounding variants. It was a huge fiasco dealing with Audeze and the buyer I sold them to, who was understandably upset.

All that being said, these look amazing and I would love to hear them myself, but since that bad experience, I've avoided any of these "prototype" Audezes...
