Awesome pair of headphones that perform very well compared to what's out there today and manage to have a unique sound and presentation that's all their own. I just picked up my pair a few months back and have been nothing but impressed. GLWS!

I agree these have a very enjoyable and musical sound to them. They have a large following, me included. Very pleasant and musical . Worked great with an OTL tube I had at the time.

Is this the Lite, balanced, or Bass heavy one?

It is an original AKG K340 which has never been fiddled with. It has its original sound, as the AKG engineers wanted it to have .

On a personal note, I find the bass « just right »: present, clean and tight. Not overwhelming, not fuzzy. This is why I would avoid the formula « bass-heavy », as it might be somehow misleading.
