I'm in need of immediate funds for a purchase in a different hobby, so I need to part with some equipment that I don't use as much as I should. Because of the time-sensitivity involved, I'm pricing this item aggressively to encourage a quicker sale. Reasonable counteroffers may be considered, but please no low-balling, as the price is already pretty generous.

I'm selling this SP1000 DAP (with amp combo) that is still in very good condition (I probably used it for less than 100 hours). I believe that, just five years ago, the MSRP for the DAP was $3,000 and for the amp was $700, so under $1,000 for this combo (which still sounds incredible) is a very steep drop. Sonically, it's never had any issues. It is cosmetically in very good condition (as you can see in the pix) but in the spirt of full disclosure the copper surface on the DAP may have corroded a bit in a few spots (there's a few black spots on the metal and I'm not sure if it's actual corrosion or simply the black A&K DAP/amp case rubbing off a bit -- most of it came off with a little wiping so it may well all come off with a little elbow grease.). Also, the volume knob on the DAP is a bit loose (at least compared to my other SP1000 in stainless steel), but it's always been that way and hasn't gotten any worse and still works perfectly well. It will come with the original storage boxes and original accessories. This combo has always been stored properly when not in use and I live in a smoke-free, dog-free home. I still enjoy its sound and utility but I recently purchased an SP3000 so this combo needs to find a new home.
