I have really gone down the rabbit hole of exploring opamp-modded OG Bifrost multibit, and have some extras available to sell. These are the newest board revisions that I found to sound better than the older models.
Both have gen 5 USB installed and have been professionally modded. I have one in a black chassis that has OPA 1656 opamps installed in the DAC I/V and Servo sections, and one in silver that has OPA 1656 in the DAC I/V and OPA 2516 in the servo section. They both sound great/similar, the silver one is just a touch warmer, and the black is a touch faster.
A quick Google search will tell you all you need to know about these modded Bifrosts, even compared decently with my Holo May went I was without it for a few weeks and used the Bifrost. For sure a significant step above the modded modi multibits that have become popular. If you happened to score a Piety, this DAC has incredible synergy for the best DAC/AMP stack you can get under $1k I would wager.
