Oh my god, piccolo sound so nice, full, musical, wonderful bass ,highs never sibilant they remind me serial maybe more bass centric. It's a miracle at this price, I was tempted from penon fan og but now I'm so happy with these, but the best I obtained using them with ifi gryphon, penon tail doesn't fill them enough with sound and only push voice and highs more forward and at high gain there is too unnatural forced dynamic. Actually at first listening I don't like the 3.5mm penon tail output not with piccolo nor with vortex.
