Is there a way to expand .cue files? Because for some albums of certain bands, I don't want all the songs in the album when I put them in my X3ii but .cue is just one file as whole album and they only expand when I play them with my computer. I use AIMP3. X3ii is on the way, I still did not get it. Can I manually delete some songs from .cue file after I've transferred it to X3ii? Can that player show .cue as song by song like AIMP3?

Dear Mustainzed,

You can read every song from the .cue separatedly. But it is not available for you to delete a certain song from the .cue in the X3II. You may try to delete the information of the song in the .cue file using the computer.

Best regards

Oh, well there's your problem lol.  The pm4 is a bright IEM and unforgiving with detail.  It does not pair well with the x3ii.  The new Master seems to fix those problems, though.

I just picked up the LZ A4 and it is very smooth with the x3ii.  It has a great sub bass, but I wouldn't call it dark.

Hi Bob, Yeah I have the new pair that came out like last month, just not the PM6 as it's too much.

Maybe I can get a different player? I can barely find those earphones in the UK :frowning2:

That's a tough call.  If the pm4's are bright for you now, I don't know if a new source will be effective enough to dampen the brightness down to something enjoyable.

It's a tough call, cuz if you want to get the new Master you have to fork over 60 GBP's and go on faith that it has addressed this brightness

.  @Jackpot77 said it did and his word has integrity.

If you want to get a new IEM you are still stuck with the pm4's.

I returned the pm4 as fast as I could cuz I had the exact same problem.  They were very bright for me.  I tried them out on my macbook air which has a warmer sound I couldn't get it fixed.  Maybe talk to BOB from trinity.  They are renowned for their customer service.

Haha I was scratching my head also why is X1ii same price as X3ii, IMO X3ii sounds much better than X1ii, in comparison X1ii sounds colder while X3ii fuller. X1ii more for casual listening but not bad to pair with bassy warm earphone also.

Yeah, I've found it just after writing here. Thanks.
I used it for so many of my .cue files and worked pretty much but some of them failed to split. What would be the reason? It says ''split successful'' but it doesn't do the job.

I cannot say as I've never used it. But, if the file you are trying to split is lossless, you can use Foobar2000 to split.

Yeah, used Foobar2000 too but it has another problem. It never converted/splitted my .cue files to flac. It wants me to find ''flac.exe'' and it doesn't read the flac file when I opened the flac document. Then I stuck. I only did .cue to wav splitting. But wav is even larger than flac. Any ideas?

Install this - then you can decode/encode : http://www.foobar2000.org/encoderpack

Okay, solved. I've already installed that but the problem was: I didn't get the flac 1.2 version or higher so program couldn't find the flac.exe when I try to split my files to flac. I found the latest FLAC version from its website and downloaded it. No problems right now. Thank you anyway. Foobar2000 is better than great imo.

Here you go,

http://www.medieval.it/cuesplitter-pc/menu-id-71.html

you should use cue tools as it is better medieval also encodes the file again so the md5 file changes and cue tools also verifies the files exactly , although there is a big letdown  as it cannot process more than red book standard 44.1khz /16 bit , I always resample as 24  bit and higher than 44.1 to me is a waste of space , so to me it not bad at all , but if you have some 44.1khz songs you should try it out  : http://cue.tools/wiki/CUETools_Download

also foobar can split the files as well but it is a bit more tedious , any ways try both of the ways.

this is the proof that medieval is bad  : https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,57563.0.html#entry683198
