I have Zen dac v2. I like it because it sounds very wide, does Neo idsd 2 sound like that?

iFi DACs that use the Burr-Brown chip have a similar sound.I have Zen dac v2. I like it because it sounds very wide, does Neo idsd 2 sound like that?
I have the Neo idsd and now the Neo idsd 2.
Of all the DACs I've had from other brands, in my opinion, the ones from iFi are the best.

Hi Praise there! Thanks so much for those words!iFi DACs that use the Burr-Brown chip have a similar sound.

I am personally a fan of BB myself, probably how I got my taste for iFi gear!
Cheers!!

I have a very simple 10mhz clock that I have used for years on my Singxer SU-2, on that unit it makes a great difference in sound.Has anyone tried to connect an external clock to it?How much better does it sound?
I am no "clock guru" and gave it a go on my iDSD2 but to me, it made not much difference. This indicated to me that perhaps the internals were more to my liking on that unit.
I am sure others may chime in that have better "clocks" and give other opinions.
Cheers!!

According to the manual...
A sine or square wave signal may be used, see below...
Hope this helps...

I have never had the first Neo iDsd. But I must say that I am very impressed with the sound signature and the HP amp of the iDsd2! I have heard quite a lot of amps and dacs! My Grado hp's have never sounded so good! Later on I will test the iDsd2 as standalone dac with the Meier Audio Soul's dac loop, and my other HP amps!iFi DACs that use the Burr-Brown chip have a similar sound.

And above all, I can control the music on my dap with the iDsd2's remote. And the power usage is extremely low (below 4,5 Watt!).

With an otg (ifi) usb-c cable and a 3rd party audioplayer (USB Audio Player PRO, Hiby Music, ...) it will work fine. Spotify does not play bit perfect but it should be possible too.I would imagine that if you had a cable to go from the USB of your phone to the USB B input on the back it may (Should) work, like a Dongle DAC would but I have never tried it, and in all honesty, it's the first time I remember seeing this question.
I am sure someone has tried it, and I will check for you!
Cheers!!
