Hi,
I'm looking for new headphones and my current setup is
Xonar STX + DT 770/600ohm, I'm in love with these been for 7 years so I think it's time to buy another pair of 'phones.
My DT 770 were custom ordered from Beyerdynamic with Leather Earpads and when I looked into DT 880 Manufaktur looks like they're not offering leather pads for anything anymore, is there a reason for this? The leather pads are so much better with the DT 770 so it's sad to see, I could of course use the ones I have on my DT 770 with the DT 880 but it's really painful operation to switch them.

DT 880 is offered with 32/250/600 ohm, which one is the best for these headphones and my card? I prefer little bassy sound. Then there's DT 880 Pro with 250 ohm, what's the difference with non-Pro?
HD 600 is cheaper here and when I had HD 555 I really digged the soundstage for movies/series, is 600 good in that aspect?

Which one do you think I should go for?
I listen to all kinds of music and watch lots of series/movies.

Thank you for reading.

For leather pads, try find with part number EDT770S. (NOT EDT770V or EDT770VB. They are velour pads)

600 ohm is definitely harder to drive, but supposed to be best-sounding.

I recommend you to go HD600. It has better soundstage and generally a bit better headphones than DT880 if you are digging for TV and movies.

Thank you for the leather pads part number and recommendation!
