I recently upgraded from Neotech NEI-1002 to NEI-1001, keeping the same ETI Kryo connectors. Having moved up through a few different models of Neotech bulk wire now, each step up really does continue to give improved performance. The NEI-1001 has great tonal weight. Aside from the imaging & detail you wouldn't think it's silver at all. It's also slightly smaller in diameter and more flexible than the 1002, which was an added bonus.

Also received one of the two demagnetizer models used by Triode Wire Labs today. Not as powerful as I was expecting it to be, but it worked. It got tested out on my headphone system -- budget Neotech & Supra power cables, NEI-3001 RCAs, Inakustik Referenz USB, DIY Neotech headphone cable & a pair of 12ax7 tubes. The improvements were subtle, but nice. Better low end heft & control, reduced glare, better defined leading edges & improved separation. My headphone chain is decent but not hyper resolving, so given the improvements noticed there I'm excited to try it on the 2 channel system.

I currently have a Cardas Clear headphone cable that I stripped as I am going to make an 1950's IEM cable and would be very grateful if anyone knows where to get y-splits like PW Audio uses on the First Times cable? I have searched the net for multiple hours over days without success.

Many Thanks...

Had an older Synergistic Research power cable that I'd upgraded from, so after tearing it down to see what was inside I decided to experiment. The result is 10awg SR copper, cotton to space out the shielding, re-applied Synergistic Research's UEF compound, added a layer of carbon/teflon shielding, and tinned copper braid on each conductor. Still breaking it in, but so far it doesn't sound bad at all. Not top of the heap by any means, but no complaints and it was a fun weekend project. It's also surprisingly flexible for as massive as it is. A big part of that comes from the split geometry instead of having each pole bundled together tightly.

A buddy made this cable for me.

I forget the details except its a bispa plug.

Sounds absolutely amazing. He is working some serious magic with his diy cables.

Cable is a bit stiff, thick and unwieldy but man does it sound good, just amps up the musicality, impact, liveliness and energy of music.

Hakugei healer for comparison.
