I would like to see too. I have the 598SE one and feel like the soundstage isn't as good as some reviewers mention and I always get the vocals back of my head never in front. I would love to have some improvement.

They are indeed great. They do take some burn in time and getting used to but once you use them enough you just can't get over their magical mids and airy sound, no matter how much time you spend with them.. A masterpiece from Sennheiser.

    I had a long discussion with @LazyListener about the HD598SE's lack of space issue. I had read here somewhere that burn-in should not affect soundstage. So, though I believe in burn-in I thought 598SE just isn't as spacious as I expected but dear lord I was wrong, I am 30hr+ with my SEs...

Yes! there's a lot of fake Ivory out there. There is a post here that helps you identify and even some youtube videos that show the difference and, of course, Sennheiser has a very good fake detention system. Better safe than sorry. 

Even not all HD598s sound same according to a handful of people here who had the chance to try/own two Ivory 598. So basically, you can not get a definite answer. Too subjective, more so when the margin of physical difference is so thin.

Actually didn't have a plan to buy DAC+Amp as I don't know how good would be the DAC when compared with my laptop and that my friend, very few people can shed any light on as comparing two DACs without testing or for a person who actually haven't owned both is quite difficult. Especially, when...
