USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android
I would re-seat the SD card and factory reset the Hiby, that usually cures most problems (remember to back up first if necessary). If that doesn't fix it, it may be a faulty unit.- Simon Patten

You'll need a T-6 torx screwdriver and a CR1220 lithium cell battery. Undo the screw on the back, replace the battery, replace the back and screw, done.- Simon Patten

Try this, I always think it has a pretty 3-dimentional sound, especially the drums. (My third favourite track after Supper's Ready and Stairway.)- Simon Patten

BTW, I have no connection to Shannon or the Waxwing, I'm just very impressed with it and interested in what others think.- Simon Patten

RME ADI-2 DAC Thread
I'm surprised. I don't have very good hearing (I'm old) but the difference between listening on my ADI-2 and S17 amp is clear to me - aside from the extra bass 'weight' that the amp gives, it offers more detail with better sound stage and is more open. I was very happy with the ADI-2's headphone...- Simon Patten

RME ADI-2 DAC Thread
I agree. It's a remarkably competent device that does more than I'll ever need but it's good to know that whatever I throw at it, it can handle. The PEQ was the defining feature for me as I need EQ and when I discovered the 'Remote' dashboard I was sold, it made what I thought was going to be a...- Simon Patten

Ah yes, of course, thank you. They're too similarly named for having such a significant difference. I think I was caught out by that when I bought it as an analogue input would have been be useful (sorted now with my Waxwing).- Simon Patten

Exceptional in Every Detail: Say Hello to the IE 600
I had a similar problem with mine; after a few weeks (with very little cable swapping) the left bud became intermittent. I swapped the cables around and realised that it was the MMCX plug on that side of the cable so I took it back to the aforementioned Richer Sounds, reproduced it, and they...- Simon Patten

RME ADI-2 DAC Thread
I'm confused. I was just reading https://rme-audio.de/downloads/adi2fs_e.pdf and on page 6 it says, "The ADI-2 FS has two analog line inputs ...". Mine has digital inputs and analogue RCA and XLR plus headphone outputs but no analogue inputs that I can see. Is this a mistake or am I missing...- Simon Patten

The only marking I found was on the box where it says 'Stealth Magnet Edition'. (Edit: Oops, 'Stealth Magnets Design', I was going from memory.)- Simon Patten

You're welcome. I've been impressed by Richer, their customer service is excellent and they will price match even if you find a price that you think they can't possibly sell it for and still make a profit.- Simon Patten
