If a headphone is returned after being opened/used and sold again it’s considered renewed/B-stock. This wouldn’t really happen unless the seller is being unethical and selling a renewed product as new.

I agree, I got spoiled with the 210g R70x and personally now 350g~ is pretty much my limit. 300g~ or less is my ideal. 400g+ is just too much for me even if the weight distribution is good.

The pleather pads are a big reason why I didn't preorder them and I have a lot of Senns, I've also never owned a Focal

I was going to pre-oder the OAE1, but ended up pre-ordering the Azurys. May also get the OAE1 sometime soon though. Was more in the market for a neutral closed-back though.

I think it’s something that mainly comes from the old DT Beyers and their varying impedances. The higher impedance models had a lighter voice coil which means a faster more responsive driver.
