Introducing the xDuoo TA-66 OTL Tube Amplifier - Now Available on Apos Audio

Still?! Now I’m picturing some really, really old little lady patiently and carefully hand-wiring each and every TA-66 by a candle light all day long every day to get these things made! -Ed

Cayin RU7: 1-Bit Resistor Network Dongle DAC /Amp

I use the line out regularly. When I am on the go, I attach a Little Bear B4-X to the line out, and when I’m listening late at night (can’t use my loudspeakers because the kids are sleeping), I attach an xDuoo TA-66 to the line out. -Ed

Cayin RU7: 1-Bit Resistor Network Dongle DAC /Amp

Okay, then that may be the case. I only have about 5 or 6 playlists in Apple Music that I have downloaded to the DAP (lossless/high-res lossless), the rest of my Apple Music playlists/music I stream it from the cloud at the time of playback either over Wi-Fi or off my phone’s hotspot. -Ed

Cayin RU7: 1-Bit Resistor Network Dongle DAC /Amp

Apple Music seems fine to me on my HiBy R6 Pro II, even though my primary mobile is an iPhone 15 Pro Max and my primary tablet is an iPad Pro M4 11”. The only feature missing from the DAP is the Sound Check option, but I only use that in the car anyway. -Ed

Cayin RU7: 1-Bit Resistor Network Dongle DAC /Amp

I don’t do only portable listening. Actually, predominantly, I listen to my home system. I use a Musician Draco DAC for that. N7 looks nice, but for the price of that, I am quite happy with HiBy R6 Pro II combined with the Draco for at-home listening and then combined with the RU7 when on the...

Cayin RU7: 1-Bit Resistor Network Dongle DAC /Amp

Yes, ever since I got the RU7, my Hidizs S9 Pro Plus Martha collects dust. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -Ed

Cayin RU7: 1-Bit Resistor Network Dongle DAC /Amp

The nice thing about RU7 is that it has a Line Out mode which lets you cleanly pair it with an external amp for more oomph. I frequently pair my RU7 with a Little Bear B4-X (rolled with MUSES02 op-amps) for extra oomph and some tube warmth. -Ed

Cayin RU7: 1-Bit Resistor Network Dongle DAC /Amp

Modern iPhones are themselves inherently incredibly efficient, so when you plug such a highly inefficient device into it and use the phone’s battery to power it, the rate of depletion is positively shocking. I use the RU7 with my new, M4 iPad Pro (11”) and even with the tablet is sucks down...

    Burson V7 Classic Pro and V7 Vivid Pro - Hi-Fi audiophile solid-state op-amps

You say this but I’m running two pair of V7 Vivids (over $300 in op-amps) in a pair of Fosi ZA3 mono blocs for my speaker chain ($200 in amps). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -Ed

Hiby R6 Pro II (2023 Edition) - Launch, Hype, Thoughts & More

Okay...this is somewhat confusing. Is it possible to use this without having to have a fixed sample rate for my music? And if so, exactly how is this configured? Do I leave the Fixed Sample Rate plugin disabled, and do I leave the same rate bypass setting in Convolution plugin unchecked? -Ed

Hiby R6 Pro II (2023 Edition) - Launch, Hype, Thoughts & More

Interesting. Well to be honest now I am not sure. Tapping (?) doesn’t really say anything. Someone else in the forum told me that this was cross feed. -Ed

Hiby R6 Pro II (2023 Edition) - Launch, Hype, Thoughts & More

Apparently, this is Crossfeed. I’ve been using it and I do like it: -Ed EDIT: It happens to be unchecked at this moment because I am listening to my speakers today.
