Yup, I only shot them an email based on the elapsed timeframe (twice!) they have given me. Its beyond 8 weeks. I think its not about the wait, I can do that (in fact I am waiting for an amp as we speak - that has been a waaaay longer wait), I just wished someone would tell me what is up.

I guess I shouldn't had asked if there were QC issues in my last email 2 days ago, maybe they don't have clearance to tell me anything of that nature!

Maybe when it reaches another month then I'll have alarm bells ringing... for now I will sit tight and comfy with my VO.
Take Christmas and winter holidays into account as well. I waited 8 weeks for my Caldera, but that was before Christmas. Holidays easily add another week to the wait.

How do you keep the wood on these cans from wearing down over time? Do you wax and polish?

This is helpful

There's a video on how to clean/maintain the wood.

I think this is an older video and doesn't really account for the wax oil being used on some new sets. I think @zach915m said for those, ideally just wipe it down dry with the included cloth - if you need to, there's an Osmo product he recommended...sorry I don't remember the exact name..

I thought I should update this to be fair to ZMF

I have just received my shipping notice, support said there are no issues with the Caldera. They were super busy.

I have quite a few cables from different brands. I would place the Grand Silver Palladium as one of the best I have, definitely for the price. Arctic also makes great cables, but they are much more expensive.

My dream cable would be a Chord Music headphone cable, but they don't make one. I have a few of their xlr and bnc cables, and they are the best I have ever used.
I have the Grand Silver Palladium as well, picked it up at Dallas CanJam. Paired with my AC and it's lovely. Great base and adds just a little more sparkle to the treble to make cymbals sound awesome.

Now that all three of my ZMF November selections have arrived, what's planned of my over-ear collection is complete. I'd spent much of the past year trying all sorts of gear at all sorts of pricepoints and from all sorts of manufacturers, and yet I ended up right back where I started my "nice cans" exploration: Caldera and Atrium (this time in both open and closed). (The Verites shown were a used market find from earlier in the fall.)

Such works of art, and the new headbands/straps are even more comfortable than I remember my prior Caldera and Atrium to be, win-win!

Its a Public Holiday (with a long weekend!) for me, and today I am reminded why I go with DHL every single time if available!

I am so happy that the new headphones feels lighter than my VO, very comfortable.

1st hour impression with the Caldera has exceeded all my expectations. It has the amazing sub bass that I distinctly remember from my time with other planars, and it also sounds so dynamic and lively with my current tube config. Its gonna be a great weekend rolling some tubes!

Thank you @zach915m and the ZMF team for such beautiful sounding AND looking headphone. It was well worth the wait.

Zach, wanna make an estat next?
