Are the XLR and RCA outs variable via the volume pot or fixed? I was thinking of skipping the preamp.

I believe the headphone jack is variable, one set of RCAs is variable (preamp), one set of RCAs is fixed (to dedicated amp).

The XLR is fixed, the RCAs have both fixed and variable.

Thanks guys, I guess a DACT stepped attenuator is in my future as well as the DAC!
