Hi. I'm planning to buy an earbud for macbook air.
I'm using triple fi and pfe122.
These are for outdoor use with my iphone.

I heard that pk1 needs amp, but can i just use it on my macbook air?
What I found is that, when i connect 16ohm earbuds to macbook, it sounds the same as on iphone.
However, when I connect triplefi and pfe122, which have 32ohm, I think macbook air gives better sound than iphone.
So, what i'm thinking is that, even though pk1 has 150ohm, macbook air can give a little bit of potential sound unamped.

Should i buy pk1? Or pk2?
I might buy fiio e11 maybe later

I want the earbud that gives me comfortable fit and best sounds.
Dont recommend me omx980, because i have it, but i'm planning to sell it.

So you recommend pk2?
But many people say that pk1 still sounds better than pk2 even without amps.
And macbook air's volume is approximately 4times powerful than iphone. (I guess)
So I wonder if connecting to macbook will give pk1's potential sound like when it is amped.

I did not recommend either, as I have no basis to do that.

The folks at headphone.com have tested them, and I trust their data.
If you prefer to trust what "many people" say, thats up to you.
How do you know the Air's output is 4x the power of iPhone?

You could calculate the maximum volume you'll get from each, but the short story is, you'll probably get enough from the PK1 with no amp, but you'll get a lot more from the PK2 with no amp.

You said you want an earphone that gives you comfortable fit and sounds best.  Nobody can judge comfort but you, and even "sounds best" is a bit subjective.  The only way to know is to try them.  Buy both, try them, return the one you like less.
