anyone else ****ing in love with this cd? if you're a fan of post-rock, get this. it's not apocalyptic and depressing like Godspeed You! Black Emperor or Red Sparowes; just... beautiful. my favorite description is "****ing beautiful". this is definitely one of the best albums i've heard in a long, long while. "We Flood Empty Lakes" is absolutely breathtaking. the part at the end, with the final building crescendo climax with the violins going nuts in the background... my god. just get it if you haven't.

I've had this album for a while now. It's really really amazing.

In a similar vein check out Mono for epic, beautiful post-rock.

a bit late but yeah, Mono is great. they also introduced me to World's End Girlfriend, a great producer/multi-instrumentalist also from Japan. while Mono's collaboration with World's End Girlfriend is lacking, i love his solo work.
