I'm looking at a pair of Yamaha YH-2 Orthodynamic headphones, and I saw that there was a tome written about Orthodynamic headphones and that there are a lot of fans of them on the site. For a pair in very good condition, what do you think I should pay for them? Also, because of the thin membrane, do they require a special amp or kind of amp? I use a Kenwood receiver (before I here the scoffing of true aficionados, I have to say that I've heard many amps and my Kenwood is better than most of the $100-$250 amps, and it has a optical source for my macbook which is running Amarra on it, so the sound is - I think - fairly good.) Will I blow out the headphones if I plugin a pair of these into a normal amp/receiver? I also read somewhere that there are mods that people do to Orthos, do the YH-2s need to be modded in order to realize their full potential. Any and all information on these phones would be appreciated!
