**Not for the faint of heart**

WSIB is the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. They have released a series of explicit, hard hitting ads showcasing dangers in the workplace. These are disturbing.

The first time I saw this ad I nearly fell off the couch! I doubt many have seen them as they are Ontario only so far as I know.

I know. I just realised I should put a warning in the initial post. It's kind of cruel to just spring that on someone.

Holy crap, that's pretty intense. The government of Ontario seems to have taken some courses in effective advertising.

I'm wondering if the funeral one hasn't been aired yet due to the recent electrocution near Windsor?

My sister's boyfriend was friends with the victim and I can guarantee the WSIB will be dealing with this one.

[EDIT] another person was electrocuted too, but grounded and survived. He has 3rd degree burns across most of his body and is currently recovering. I think it's great that the WSIB has produced these hard-hitting ads instead of more cheesy, melodramatic "what ifs"

Pretty direct adds--it's not surprising they haven't aired here in the states yet.
Good find, none then less.

not the first time the govt of ON has come out with direct advertising though. Remember the first stupid.ca ad with the woman standing out in a thunderstorm with a lightening rod, telling us it was smarter than taking up smoking? Classic.
