Title says it all.

What do you think are the worst sounding headphones above $100?

What do you think are the worst (sounding + quality) headphones above $300?

Just curious to see what comes up.

I think that the Dr. Dre headphones will come up for the 300USD ones, definitely.

Back when I was in college and didn't know anything, I bought the Bose Triports from Best Buy.

Needless to say, they were NOT best buys, and they went back to where they came from in a few hours.

I have to say that the Audio Technica AD2000 were hugely disappointing for me.... sounded very unnatural IMO. I Hope the new owner doesn't think so!

In the past I've really hated Stax - to my ears just gutless and very grey sounding, and pretty bad design in terms of comfort and mechanical noise from the 'phones themselves.

westone um2 if you count iem as headphones

I bought them when people were raving about their sound then was very underwhelmed when I received them.
