WORST headphone you ever heard?

That's nice, but the pair I heard failed to live up to the measurements. I've played both on one of the better smartphones for SQ, the Galaxy Note 2 w/ Neutron Player, and the Beats were unquestionably better. They also have below average comfort and a poorly designed headband which creates a pressure point on my head over long-term use.
If a company cannot release a £320 headphone targeted for portable devices without QC issues and basic ergonomics, they are entitled for criticism, just as surely as Beats were.

For the record, I use all of my portable headphones out of my iPhone/iPad or iPod directly.

I think the T1 is a better dynamic headphone than the HD800, it has smoother treble but they were plagued by quality control problems in the earlier models.

It's definitely smoother and perhaps better-suited to cross-genre listening, but it doesn't have the same level of resolution as the HD800 and it certainly doesn't have the same soundstage.

Exactly why I chose HD800 over the K812 and T1.

I haven't heard the K812 yet personally, but I believe it's possible that I may prefer it over the HD800. In fact, I prefer to T1 over the HD800 for evening sessions, when I'd rather get lost in the music than have it jump out at me in vivid detail. Still, it's impossible to ignore how important the HD800 was for the TOTL dynamic headphone industry as a whole.

Yeah, I heard the Beats...I like the bass amount but it was very distorted.  But I heard the V-moda M-100 the other day at the store....it took me straight back to my teenage years.  Bass was so good...so low in distortion, I've not heard better for the price.

What the heck, I admit it, I'm a basshead and am coming out of the closest...not like I got any karma left with the summit crowd anymore...

Worst headphones I've ever heard? Probably the Beats and USB gaming headphones.

The standard version, and the Logitech headphones are the worst.

Have you heard ALL the beats?

All the pricier ones, yes. If they were like $50 there wouldn't be much to complain about.

I don't like anything with elevated upper midrange or lower treble.  That said, out of all the higher-end headphones I've heard I have to say the Grado RS-2 and Sennheiser HD700 are the worst sounding ones.

Yeah, let's all talk about flagship models in the "WORST headphone" thread.
Good times.

Sorry, I lost track of what thread I was in!
