Regardless of price, how do these three amps compare to one another? I'll be using it with my DT 880 Pro 250 ohm, DT770 Premium 600 ohm, HD600, and eventually higher end cans, potentially T90/T1/HD800/HE-500/Alpha Dog/TH-900. Just looking for some info on how these amps would sound comparatively.

Also, is it true that transformer coupled tube amps have more of a "tubey" sound than OTL amps or am getting that backwards?

Thanks

You need all rounder amp to run everything from orthos to high impedance. Like beta22 or ehha at the high end or lyr or ember in the mid range.

LD IV SE for example won't run he500 etc because it is meant to power only high impedance cans.

Of the three amps you listed the only one that will drive high and low impedance headphones is the WA-6 because it is transformer coupled. The other two are otl amps designed for high impedance headphones. So, between the three the choice is obvious for you application.

Thanks for the input guys, I'll take it into consideration.

Lets say I were just using high impedance cans, would you still recommend the WA6 over the others (meaning only in regards to sound quality, not price or anything else, and only for use with high impedance cans).

Thanks.

Orthos like hifiman, audeze, mad dogs, fostex etc are low impedance

Yes I know that. Just trying to get a feel for these amps and I don't necessarily need a tube amp that will work with all of my cans, though that would be a plus.
