any pointers on how to do it otherwise?
thinking of at least trying, just to se how it looks,listen what it sound like.
getting the experience,I like the idea of wooden headphnes =)

Just copy the plastic design into wood.  The design and dimensions of an enclosure are important for dynamic driver speakers.  I wouldn't deviate from the original engineers.
