I'm going to be building a new power cable for my amplifier soon and I was wondering about using the Redco 12/4 speaker cable as wire for the power cable. It consists of 4 12awg conductors and has an electrical rating of 300volts so I assume it would be okay to use it but just want to make sure. I don't need shielding so that is also not a problem. Thanks in advance!

Hi all,

I've just ordered a run of Belden 19364 cable to be terminated as power cables. Most sites I have seen (that recommended or reviewed this cable) are based on 110-120V input; would there be an issue with using this cable on 220-240V input? I will be using locally available mains and IEC plugs.

Cheers!

p.s. Hope you don't mind the little thread-jack, skyline889.
