When I go to Monstercable's website, I found that they are selling the Copper $100 cheaper than the Gold.

Why is that happening??? I heard that there were quality issues with the Copper.

BTW, under the current price, which one would you choose?

I think you are assuming that the Gold would be better / more expensive than the Copper without doing more research.

You can read some reviews here:

For the money there are way better options as far as even tonality, soundstage, and treble response.

Take a look at joker's master IEM thread here:

From memory the Copper's sound more neutral and have less bass than the Gold.

thx a lot for the information man.

I actually know that the Copper were originally more expensive than the Golds.
I am just confused about the current price of the Copper. I assume there has been quality issues so Monster wants to sell the Copper faster.

Resistivities and temp. coefficients of  gold=2.44[micro ohm-cm]  0.0034 coefficient at 20C.   Copper-annealed= 1.78 at 0.0039 at 20C--silver-1.64 at 0.004 at 20C. The problem with silver it tarnishes quickly when exposed to air. I would rather use copper. Notice the higher resistivity of gold.
