As was the starting point for me here, reading through the headamp section and getting a bad case of information overload, the same is about to happen to me here in the portable audio section

What I have as portable now: Sony w850i (Walkman phone, yes I know..)
According to what I have understood, I get about 75-80% of listening enjoyment out of that. I want to get closer to the 90-95% mark before the heavy money has to be brought out to get the last few percents of listening enjoyment.
Since I now have some extra money, I have been hit hard by upgraditis.

For what I will use it:
Music at work and at the gym.

At work, it will be used with a D2 Boa and either my current headphones, Sony MDR-XD 400 or some I will audition in the near future like Denon 2000...., at gym, unamped, with probably some sporty sennheiser hp's.

Video is of no interest to me.

So, what do you recommend for me based on the above?

Cowon Iaudio7
Apple Nano (with lod?)
Something else?

If you have low capacity (<4gigs), sansa clip probably the best choice for you.

If you need more space, iaudio7 and sony 828s are the better choice.

I havent heard of iaudio7, but my sony > clip
