Title says it all.

Which HDD and flash players have the strongest output in mw at the headphone out?

Which of those are capable of producing, undistored, deep bass (with EQ)?

Thanks!

Paul

The new 5G iPod and nano both have a surprisingly strong output. The nano's output in particular shocked me due to its small size...

Karma is rated to 55mW per channel at 16 ohms which has to be the highest. For some reason my Vision:M seems to be as strong if not stronger at 25mW per channel?!

Anyway iPods, Creatives, Karma all have plenty of juice for most users. Stay away from the Phillips GoGear as my roomies HDD6630 is so freaking weak it suffers on just about anything but IEMs...and even those he bitches about the bass, esp after hearing my Karma and ZVM.

I did a test.

My 580s unamped on my Zen sound okay, not sparkly but adequately loud. Unamped 580s on my i5 is a completely different story however.

A completely different story in what way?
