got HD650 it is really good for what i need yet one big problem is they do leak the sound that even the one who is outside the room can hear it, i listen to music on the PC with 52% vol and even the player is 50% too! and the amp/dac less than 50% still this massive leakage.

will the TH900 solve this problem? also from reading i know that the TH900 will serve my need of music so for now i need to know about the leaking level.

Of course a closed hp will not leak like an open one. There will be varying degrees of isolation on even a closed hp though. I have not heard the th900 so you might ask your question in the th900 appreciation thread. Someone there will help.

If you own/are looking to own a pair of TH900s, you should know the answer to this... The TH900s are closed back, there should be minimal sound leakage from it. The HD650s are completely open, they let almost all sounds in and out, as I type this I can hear the keys clicking past my music on my 650s, so they offer little to no isolation.

^^ But...

1. He knows that the 650 offers little isolation, he owns them.

2. I suggested that he ask the question to someone who owns the th900 because, the denon d2k, d5k and d7k did not isolate well despite being closed. And...since the same company makes the th900 if would be prudent to ask an actual owner.

Of the ones I know:

beyer dt770...very good isolation, and some sparkle on the treble...not very expensive either. Great build quality.

ah, I don't think any of the Dx000 series isolates well.
Not all closed backs isolate well (Audio Technica woodies like the ATH-W1000x). I would ASSUME that the th900 can isolate pretty well since the cup is some metal material (and thus sealed to the rest well unlike wood phones).

All open phones are bound to leak since they don't have anything to isolate with. I haven't read any of the TH900 reviews, but those would be my dream closed cans.

I own the TH900. They are often equated to the sound leakage of an open can. You don't buy the TH900 for the isolation or closed aspect. They might possibly provide less leakage than the HD650.

If you want a fantastic, isolating can that doesn't leak much, look at the Ultrasone Signature Pro. It's considered to be the TH900's isolating brother.

Also does the T5P :D Comfort+isolation+Treble , i was looking for the best Bright-closed HP and the T5P got all of that. ^^

Also thanks for the advice :D
