My favorite IEM's so far are my re-cabled Pure Silver cabled IE8s (followed by the FX700 lol cheating). My worst IEMs so far or at least for me the biggest disappointment are the EX1000s. The EX1000s treble was very sibilant due to the treble spike in the lower region, I am very sensitive to this so there was no work around for me. Not to mention the overall sound is thin and un-appealing. The bass was very nice and tight but was lacking the quantity that I wanted.
